The secret of happiness
I've never been one to exercise regularly, walks now and then, but
recently I've had a frozen shoulder and various exercises were given
me to do. The problem was they made the pain worse. The doctor and
physiotherapist told me I must do them or it will never get better.
If I had done regular exercises this probably wouldn't have happened.
Some people are the same with prayer, they don't normally bother
unless a crisis happens and only then do they ask our Lord for help.
We should, of course, be talking to Him regularly and not forgetting
to say "thank you" for all the good things as well.
I read recently that you can combine the two, exercising and praying.
It's just a matter of getting down on your knees,
putting your hands together and praying. Keeping fit whilst praying,
can't be bad!
The secret of happiness is not in doing what one likes, but in liking
what one does. Every Blessing, Maurice.
