The Font

Standing at the West entrance to the church it is carved from Caen stone from Normandy in North France and designed by the very famous church architect, Sir Gilbert Scott in 1853. It replaced a much simpler font and is very ornate with its Biblical carvings of the ‘Dove of Peace’ and the ‘Lamb of God.’
