This artistic treasure was placed in memory of Rt. Hon. John Peel, M.P. for Tamworth, who died in 1872. The design of the window connects the story of the creation of Man with his redemption. In the tracery are six lovely panels by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, known as the "Angels of Creation.”

The main window panels depict major Biblical characters and the centre panel shows St. Christopher carrying a child across the stream.
